The Liverpool manager has come out to address the injury concerns for his players following their weekend Premier League game.
Jeremie Frimpong and Szoboszlai were both major concerns after suffering injuries which aren’t looking good for the team right now.
Both players are expected to be sidelined for a while. Andoni Iraola gave update concerning both players who picked up something new.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the recent update coming from the Liverpool manager ahead of their Champions League clash.
Andoni Iraola said: “Szoboszlai has suffered a problem but it’s the same place as last week.
“He hasn’t worsened it, but we will have to be a little bit more patient until he recovers fully”.
The manager went on to give update on Jeremie Frimpong who also sustained another injury and expected to stay out for a while.
Andoni Iraola confirms Jeremie Frimpong has suffered a new injury: “Jeremie is a new injury and we will have to wait until he recovers”.
“It’s going to be difficult before the break, but we will try”.
Liverpool claimed back to back victories after struggling to produce results for a while. A win against LASK and another against Brentford gave them the double victories.
However, with recent update on injuries, the club will be going through another challenges of trying to find other players to fill in the vacant positions.
Szoboszlai injury is a big one for the team knowing his role and how important it is to have him on the pitch.
Both the Hungarian and Jeremie Frimpong will stay out for a while with no confirmed return dates for both players.
For now, Liverpool will have to manage with what they have as they enter the busy period of the season which will see them play games with little time to rest for the next match.
