Chelsea end their six games losing streak after holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield Stadium, thanks to Enzo Fernandez Free-kick.
The 200th meeting between both historic rivals lived up to the billing, featuring world-class strikes, VAR drama, and the woodwork being rattled on multiple occasions.
Liverpool wasted no time asserting their dominance in front of their home fans. Just six minutes into the contest, the Reds capitalized on a recycled set-piece.

After a Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick was blocked by the Chelsea wall, the ball fell to the feet of the teenage sensation Rio Ngumoha.
The youngster showed composure beyond his years, feeding Ryan Gravenberch at the edge of the box.
The Dutch midfielder took one touch to set himself and unleashed a sublime, curling effort that bypassed the outstretched arms of Filip Jörgensen and nestled into the top corner.
It was Gravenberch’s sixth goal of the campaign, and for a moment, it seemed Anfield was braced for a rout with the scoreline turned 1-0.
Chelsea, despite their recent woes, refused to crumble. Deployed in an unconventional setup with Marc Cucurella pushed into an advanced left-wing role, the Blues began to find pockets of space.
The equalizer arrived in the 35th minute via a moment of sheer unpredictability. Enzo Fernández stood over a free-kick some 35 yards out on the right flank.
His whipped delivery was intended as a cross for the marauding Wesley Fofana, but the ball evaded everyone including a flat-footed Ibrahima Konaté and curled directly into the far corner.
While some debated whether Fofana got a touch, the goal was officially credited to the Argentine playmaker, breathing life back into the Chelsea dugout 1-1.
The second half was a showcase of the fine margins that define the Premier League. It was a dramatic one which saw so many decisions being ignored and waved away by VAR.
Chelsea thought they had turned the game on its head when Cole Palmer pounced on a loose ball to fire home, only for the VAR lines to reveal Cucurella was a fraction offside in the build-up.
Liverpool responded with a relentless assault on the Chelsea goal as Dominik Szoboszlai saw a low drive beat Jörgensen but rebound off the base of the post.
Captain Virgil van Dijk rose highest from a corner, only to see his powerful header crash against the crossbar.
Cody Gakpo had the ball in the net with a clinical header, but the celebrations were cut short by an earlier infringement in the box.
Chelsea had their own grievances late on, with a vociferous penalty appeal waved away after João Pedro appeared to be obstructed in the area.
The match finished with both Liverpool and Chelsea sharing one point each following the 1-1 draw which made no difference on their position on the League table.
For Calum MacFarlane, this was a moral victory. Ending a six-game losing streak at Anfield is no small feat, especially with a depleted squad missing stars like Pedro Neto and Estevão Willian.
The defensive resilience shown by Levi Colwill and Jorrel Hato in the closing stages suggested a team finally rediscovering its spine.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot, however, will be frustrated. Despite the dominance of Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister, the Reds defending on the set-piece and failure to convert clear-cut chances could prove costly in the race for Champions League football.
Marc Cucurella had so much to say concerning Chelsea’s performance which claimed to be good and top quality.
Cucurella said: “I think the effort today was really good. I don’t think it was probably our best moments, but we showed if we play together and if we play together then we have a good level.
“Hopefully we can win a bit of confidence from this game because next week we have a massive game.
“We aren’t happy because we wanted the three points, but we are happy that we showed we’re a really good team if we put in the effort and fight together.
“Hopefully we can learn from this game and play well in these last few games.”
As the season enters its final fortnight, Liverpool must find their clinical edge, while Chelsea will hope this point acts as the foundation for a much-needed rebuild.
This draw between Liverpool and Chelsea comes as a shock for many knowing the difference in each team current form coming into this encounter.
