Arsenal may lose one of their key players this summer to reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain, with the French club now pulling the trigger to realize the move.
After a dominant domestic and European run last season, French outlets report PSG are already setting their sights on the 2026-27 season with more reinforcements expected for the team.
Particularly, they are looking to further strengthen their star-studded attacking lineup for the next campaign, with Arsenal’s top winger, Gabriel Martinelli, emerging as a top target.
According to French outlet, L’Equipe, PSG head coach Luis Enrique is a big fan of Martinelli and his hopeful of adding the Brazilian sensation to his attacking lineup due to his speed and threat in the final third.
Enrique also reportedly gave the nod for the move as he looks to deepen his attacking depth and promote stiff competition among his forward options featuring Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
A potential summer move is understood to be in the offing, with Enrique interested in rapidly securing the services of the winger. Talks are reportedly in the fast lane between the French side and Gabriel Martinelli’s representatives.

Arsenal open to Gabriel Martinelli’s exit
Gabriel Martinelli is on a five-year contract with Arsenal which expires in 2027. According to close sources, Arsenal are ready to cash in on the player with just a year left on the deal.

The 24-year-old has been key to Arsenal’s setup under Mikel Arteta since his breakout 2023-24 season. He has racked up 95 Premier League appearances in the Gunners’ shirt, scoring 15 goals plus 12 assists.
The Brazilian also boasts 10 goals in 30 Champions League appearances for the Gunners plus four assists. Six of those goals have come in the Gunners’ current Champions League campaign.
In the Premier League this season, he has stacked up 33 appearances, scoring one goal plus three assists. Notably, Martinelli was benched in Arsenal’s crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, later coming on to replace Noni Madueke.
That marked the eighth time he has started on the bench this season in the Premier League, underlining his declining fortunes in the team.
With new contract negotiations stalled at the time of filing this report, the winger faces an uncertain future with the Gunners and is likely to take on a new challenge away from the Emirates this summer.
