Claire Kittle, born Claire Till, is the wife of San Francisco 49ers All-Pro tight end George Kittle.
She has built her own career across fitness, blogging and, most recently, modeling, including a feature in the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue that she has described as part of her own year of yes.
Claire Kittle Biography
She was born May 24, 1994, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Marty and Shelley Till. She is the eldest child, with a younger brother, Riley Till. Sports ran through both sides of her family.
Her mother, Shelley, won an Iowa state basketball championship in 1987 and went on to play at Drake University.
Her father, Marty, played baseball at the University of Northern Iowa. Claire Kittle attended Wahlert Catholic High School in Dubuque, where she became a two-time all-state selection and a McDonald’s All-American nominee, finishing her high school career with 1,011 points, still ranked third all-time in program history.
She went on to play basketball at the University of Iowa from 2012 to 2016 on a scholarship, averaging 1.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a guard for the Hawkeyes.
She and her brother Riley, who also played for Iowa, are believed to be the first brother and sister combination to both play basketball for the University of Iowa. She graduated with a degree in health and human physiology.
George Kittle’s Wife
Claire met George Kittle in 2012 during their first year at the University of Iowa, where he played football and she played basketball.
By George’s own telling, he first spotted her crossing a parking lot wearing a pink moped helmet and made it his mission to get to know her, though the two started as friends rather than an immediate romance.
Their friendship grew into a relationship over the following years, and Claire supported George closely through the process leading into the 2017 NFL Draft.
George proposed in 2018, and the two eloped on April 10, 2019, in a small, private ceremony at a family friend’s jewelry store in Iowa City.
Two years later, in April 2021, the couple held a second, larger ceremony with friends and family at their home in Nashville, Tennessee, where they now reside during the offseason.
The couple has a dog together, a Bernedoodle named Deenie. In early 2023, Claire experienced an ectopic pregnancy and underwent surgery, a difficult period the couple shared publicly at the time; the two do not currently have children.
George Kittle has continued to publicly celebrate their relationship on social media, posting on Valentine’s Day in 2024 that their 13 years together and counting still mean the world to him, thanking her for the effort of traveling with him city after city throughout the football season.
George also co-founded Tight End University alongside Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen in 2021, an annual offseason training event and community gathering for NFL tight ends held in Nashville, one of several ventures that keep the Kittles closely tied to the city they call home outside of football season.
Career
After graduating, Claire Kittle moved into fitness professionally, becoming a certified personal trainer in November 2016 and signing a modeling contract shortly after.
She went on to found Claire Till Fitness in Iowa City, building a business around wellness and personal training rooted in her own athletic background.
She also writes a lifestyle blog called Lettey Set Go, a nickname George gave her, covering fashion, beauty and travel, and co-hosts the Hoss Tailgate Tour.
Her most significant recent career milestone came in 2026, when she was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, a moment she has described publicly as a turning point in what she’s called her year of yes, marking her shift from primarily being known as a sideline supporter to building a public profile of her own.
She maintains an active Instagram with over 450,000 followers.
Claire Kittle Net Worth
Claire Kittle’s net worth is estimated at $2 million, built from her fitness business, her blog, and her growing modeling and media career.
