Marriage to Dwight Howard
Howard and Luciani went Instagram official in December 2024, with Luciani posting, in a caption she later deleted, that she had prayed deeply on a Thursday, not knowing that within two days God would send her a Bible-carrying, tattooed giant with a heart like her own.
The two married on January 11, 2025, roughly a month after confirming the relationship. Luciani also released a children’s book during this period, crediting herself with Howard’s surname. The marriage did not last long before trouble surfaced publicly.
Luciani filed for divorce on July 1, 2025, six months after the wedding, citing an irretrievably broken marriage and requesting alimony along with an equal division of marital assets.
She later withdrew that petition, saying she had been encouraged by people around her not to give up on the marriage so quickly, and the two reconciled for a period. The reconciliation did not hold.
In March 2026, Howard filed for divorce himself, describing the marriage as irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation and stating that the two had no children together, while requesting exclusive use of his Georgia mansion.
The filing came within hours of Luciani posting an emotional Instagram video accusing Howard of drug use.
In that video, Luciani said her marriage had put her in a dangerous position, that a stepdaughter had been removed from their home by Child Protective Services, and that police and CPS had visited the home three times in less than three months.
She also alleged that Howard had pressured his 12-year-old son to help conceal his drug use from authorities.
TMZ reported it could not independently verify Luciani’s claims, and Howard’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment at the time.
In a separate filing, Luciani alleged that Howard had controlled her finances during the marriage and forced her to withdraw from a media project worth roughly $1 million.
Howard, in his own court filings, countered that Luciani had misrepresented her ability to have children specifically to convince him to marry her, that she had waged what he called a crusade of lies and defamation against him, and that her public accusations had cost him professional opportunities.
Both parties eventually filed mutual restraining orders against each other, barring either from harming the other or any of the children involved, selling shared property outside the ordinary course of business, or canceling insurance or utilities.
In early April 2026, a judge granted Howard a separate protective order against Luciani; he dropped it days later, with his attorney saying he wanted to pursue a more amicable resolution.
