Rodrigo Muniz Wins EPL Player Of The Month

Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz has won the Premier League Player of the Month award following his standout campaign with the Cottagers in March, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian striker took his game to new levels with an astonishing five goal contributions for Fulham in the month.

Muniz was set for a breakthrough month in Premier League with Fulham when he registered his name on the scoresheet in Fulham’s convincing 3-0 victory over Brighton at Craven Cottage.

The Brazilian sensation scored the second goal of the match, rippling the net two minute after the half-hour to make it 2-0 before Adanma Traore’s stoppage-time goal wrap up the win.

Muniz struggled in Fulham’s second fixture of the month  against Wolves. He failed to find the back of the net as the Cottagers stumble to a 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

However, his last two matches in the month were standard boilerplates as he roared to form again, banging in goals that will see him make the cut for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

Against Tottenham Hotspur, Muniz stole the show as the Marco Silva-led side ran out with a thumping 3-0 victory.

He bagged a brace in the game, scoring in both halves to hand the home side an unlikely three points against a high-flying Spurs side.

Muniz was on target again for the Cottagers in their last game of the month against Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane.

It ended in a six-goal thriller with both sides served three goals each. Fulham nearly lost the game  before Muniz scored a stoppage time goal to salvage a point for the away side.

The goal against Sheffield United saw the Brazilian took his goal contributions to five – four goals and one assist – the most by any Premier League player in the month.

It is the first time he has clinched the award. And it marks a milestone in his burgeoning football career.
