BREAKING! Everton Hit With Point Deduction AGAIN!

Everton have been slammed again with a two-point deduction for another breach of Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), MySportDab reports.

The Toffees came under the investigative radar of the Premier League for the second time in January for allegedly recording excessive losses last season.

They were charged alongside Nottingham Forest, who were also hit with point deduction after being found guilty by the investigative panel.

Nottingham Forest saw their Premier League fortunes this season take a downturn after being slammed with a four-point deduction that dragged them into the relegation battle.

After the Nottingham Forest case, it was evident Everton, who were also hooked, were unlikely to escape sanction for the second time.

They have now been hit with the two-point deduction which has aggravated their fight to stay aloof in the English topflight after the first point deductions  dragged them into the relegation zone.

The newest sanction has seen the club drop deeper into the relegation waters. They were previously 15th on the Premier League table, four points above the relegation but have now been dragged closer into the race for survival.

They are now 16th on the table with 27 points, two points above Luton, who are leading the struggle to stay in the English topflight for next season.

Recall the Merseyside outfit were hit with a 10-point deduction back in December 2023 but had the 10-point deduction slashed to six after appeal.

As of the time of filing this report, it is yet unclear whether they will appeal the latest deduction or not.
