Sir Jim Ratcliffe Approves £100m For Benfica Youngster

Manchester United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly approved a record-breaking £100m for a high-profile transfer target, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have not been at their best this season with the team teetering on the brink of ending the season trophyless.

Far from last season’s benchmarks, Erik ten Hag is struggling to bring the best out of the squad which he won the EFL Cup and also finished in the top four in his first season.

According to the Mirror, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is poised to transform the fortunes of the club, has reportedly approved a record £100m for a top transfer target in the summer to reinforce the squad and boost performance.

The report adds the £100m will be meant for a highly-sought fast-rising Portuguese youngster Joao Neves who is playing for Benfica.

Neves, 19, is regarded as one of the fast-rising youngsters in football, and exciting talent.

He has already won three caps for Portugal national and has made 62 appearances for Benfica with three goals to his credit.

The Red Devils are reportedly ready to splash the whooping sum on the exciting youngster to sign him from Benfica.

Apart from Joao Neves, United are also set to be eyeing more reinforcements in the Man United squad next season with Sir Jim Ratcliffe poised to take his overhaul to the player ranks after overseeing transitions in the club’s sporting hierarchy.
