FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool, Darwin Nunez Late Header Seals Victory! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Liverpool left it late to secure all three points against Nottingham Forest at City Ground in a heated Premier League matchday 27 clash, MySportDab reports.

It was another rollercoaster clash as Nuno Espirito Santos came head-on with quadruple-chasing Jurgen Klopp in his first clash against Liverpool since taking over Steve Cooper.

It was a one-sided affair as Liverpool held the home side to ransom from the start. The Reds dominated proceedings and advanced into the opponent’s half on multiple occasions.

They recorded several attempts, won several corner kicks, and completed several touches on the opponent’s box.

Nottingham Forest settled for the low blocks and made efforts on attack through counters when winning possession.

It was still a near deadlock with both sides unable to break the goal deadlock at the break.

Liverpool maintained their dominant performance in the second half but could not still find a breakthrough after several attempts.

Nottingham Forest produced a solid defensive display but were still penetrated by the Reds who wasted some glaring goalscoring chances.

It was still 0-0 at the end of regulation time with 8 minutes of injury time added. The injury time was far spent with the Reds unable to break the goal deadlock.

At the stroke of the end of the game, Darwin Nunez came up clutch for the Reds, scoring a brilliant header to secure victory at the death, thanks to Marc Allister’s unreal interception and assist.

Darwin Nunez’s goal was virtually the last touch of the game. The Reds ran out with a deserved win at the blast of the final whistle.
