BREAKING! Bayern Munich Confirm Update On Harry Kane Injury

Bayern Munich have confirmed Harry Kane sustained an injury to his left ankle after crashing into the goalpost in Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga win over Darmstadt, MySportDab reports.

Kane, who became the first Bundesliga debutant to score 31 goals, saw his history-making day in the Bundesliga matchday 26 clash marred by an injury setback.

Attempting to poke home a near-miss which ricocheted against the crossbar, the England international ended up crashing into the goalpost due to his speed.

His ankle was twisted in the process and he had to be attended to by Bayern Munich medics who rushed to the scene to cool the tensed muscle apparently sprained due to the collision.

After a few minutes of medical attention, Kane could not continue play and had to be subbed off. It was not looking good for the prolific striker as he could be seen limping and hobbling off as he made his way off the field.

Amid fears of a lengthy injury blow for the Bundesliga attacking sensation, Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund said Kane had to be subbed as a precautionary measure to prevent aggravation of the injury.

Freund also added the club may not allow Kane to join England squad for March international break depending on the diagnosis result.

Now, Bayern Munich have confirmed the result of Kane’s injury diagnosis. The report shared on the club’s official website confirmed Kane has been injured on his left ankle but will still be allowed to join England national team squad.

The report adds Kane will be treated by England national team while in camp with other players but the treatment will be in collaboration with Bayern Munich medical team.

The statement reads;

“Harry Kane has sustained an injury to his left ankle. The forward has traveled to join England national team squad for March international break where he will be treated in collaboration with the club.”

It is yet unclear whether Kane will recover in time to feature for the Three Lions in their international fixtures against Brazil and Belgium which kicks off on March 23 and 26, respectively.
