Xavi Confirms Next Plan After Barca Exit

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has confirmed his next plans as he gets ready to leave the reins at Barcelona at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

Xavi will leave Barcelona in June 2024 as per his shock decision following Barcelona’s shock La Liga defeat to Villarreal.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Xavi confirmed he will take a break from football coaching and spend time with his family before considering a return to the dugout.

”I will not return to management soon. I will take a break and spend time with my family before considering returning to management,” he said.

Xavi Hernandez decided to leave Barcelona at the end of the season due to mounting pressure following Barcelona’s stuttering domestic run.

The Catalans are running out of chances of a possible silverware this season after crashing out of Copa Del Rey and losing the Super Cup final to Real Madrid.

They have also been written off the La Liga title race following a dismal run that has seen the club drop 11 points behind La Liga leaders Girona. After previously hinting he would leave the club if they didn’t win any trophy, Xavi finally threw in the towel after the La Liga defeat to Villarreal.

Xavi will stay through this season, seeing Barcelona through the Champions League and the rest of the La Liga season. Meanwhile, Barcelona are expected to scout for a new manager to replace the 44-year-old as he braces for his imminent exit.
