Reece James was scheduled for an assessment which have now been carried out by those at Cobham medical center today with them confirming a result.

The news isn’t looking good after the whole assessment which was done today as expected to have taken place after recent development during the Everton match.

According to reports reaching us from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the new updates which is now likely to keep the player out for an extended period of time.

“Reece James has undergone medical assessment, scan results have confirmed an hamstring injury.

“Reece will now begin his rehabilitation programme at Cobham.

“Club expect Reece James to be out until February/March — based on recovery programme.

Chelsea could be forced into making another move for Reece James position which only have Malo Gusto as the natural player to take over things for now.

Things are not looking good for the captain who could be saying goodbye for the remainder of 2023/2024 season as his return date is close to their final games.

There are many optimism that he could return early than expected of him as his rehabilitation will commenced immediately while they monitor his progressed.

James have barely featured this season despite coming back from an injury which was being nursed since last campaign before getting knocked back against Liverpool.

His return have not worked well either despite all precautions taken by the team to make sure he is fully fit before returning back to playing.

Chelsea will have to do without Reece James once again as they face an uphill task of ensure they rescue something out of this season as they remain 12th on the Premier League table.
