Manchester United In Talks With Saudi Clubs to Sell 4 Players

Manchester United have began talks with Saudi clubs as they prepare to part ways with four players in January, MySportDab reports.

United risk losing some players on a free transfer at the end of the season if they can’t strike a deal with suitors in January.

Under Erik ten Hag, the club have expended over £400m on transfers. To wedge themselves against Premier League profit and sustainability rules, some players have to be sold to fund transfer activities this summer.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United football director John Murtough has met contingents from Saudi Arabia to broker a deal for Man United players that will leave in the summer.

The report adds the two parties are yet to reach an agreement but there is a solid discussion on terms of engagement.

Leading the list of the four Man United players set to be sold in January is Jadon Sancho.

Sancho has not been in action for Manchester United since September following his bust-up with Erik ten Hag.

He is expected to leave the club in January with Saudi clubs interested in the player but it appears the wantaway winger would likely chose to stay in Europe with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund interested in him.

Anthony Martial is also expected to leave as his contract will run out at the end of the season.

MySportDab understands Erik ten Hag is not keen on extending Martial’s contract following his dwindling form with the club.

Raphael Varane is also in the mix, as reported by Mail Online. Varane equally beefed Erik ten Hag for his recent lack of game time since he returned from injury.

He has been linked to an exit from the club this summer. However there are new reports United may trigger an extension on Varane’s contract.

Casemiro makes the last name on the list. He has been linked to a move to Al Nassr where he could reunite with Man United legend and former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
