Manchester United To Newcastle United Flight Cancelled

Manchester United have been dealt a blow ahead of their weekend Premier League fixture against Newcastle United, MySportDab reports.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Man Utd squad were due to fly to the north-east this morning but their flight was cancelled due to the weather and technical difficulties.

However, the team had to find a way to travel to Newcastle United to honour the Premier League fixture against the Magpies.

According to reports, after the flight was cancelled, the Manchester United squad leave for Newcastle in coaches in a journey that will take over 3 hours

MySportDab understands that the United squad were due to board a flight at Manchester Airport at 11am, only to be told it had been cancelled due to the weather and technical difficulties.

They will now have to take a three-hour coach journey to Tyneside before taking on Newcastle tonight, kick-off 8pm.

It looks set to be bitterly cold night for tonight’s fixture with forecast predicting a chance of some snow flurries and freezing temperatures.

Erik ten Hag could be without seven players for the match at St James’ Park after providing an update at yesterday’s press conference, but there is an outside chance Mason Mount (calf) will return. Newcastle also have their own injury woes with up to 11 players unavailable for Eddie Howe to call upon.
