Manchester United Have Conceded 9 Cheap Cut-back Goals This Season [Video]

It is not looking good at Old Trafford as Manchester United’s stuttering start to this season shows no sign of coming to an end soon, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils recorded their ninth Premier League defeat, and fourteenth in all competitions with a 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last game.

Erik ten Hag is coming under pressure as the underwhelming performance shows no sign of abating.

United have been largely inconsistent, struggling to maintain a winning streak. So far this season, Erik ten Hag has managed just three consecutive Premier League victories, and that happened back in November before the team was pegged back to default settings by Newcastle United.

Overall, it has been an awful campaign for the Red Devils with their top four chances gradually eroded.

While Erik ten Hag has borne the brunt of the dismal start to the campaign, a slack in performance by some of the team’s top players is also to blame.

Manchester United front three comprising of Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Hojlund have managed just 6 goal contributions for the team this season.

Rashford has 3 goals and 2 assists in 19 games. Antony has no assist or goal in 16 games. Rasmus Holjund has 1 goal with 0 assist in 15 games.

Such awful stats by the club’s attackers, including the piling injury crisis seems to cut some slacks for Erik ten Hag in the conversation on Man United’s performance this season.

While the Dutch could partly be absolved of blame, a viral footage of Man United’s unchecked defensive blunders, leading to nine cutback goals this season, has got Man United fans talking tough on Erik ten Hag.

In the footage, which is available at the end of this post, Manchester United concede nine cut-back goals, all scored in similar fashion by the opponents.

Reacting to the viral footage, a fan wrote, “if it is not the manager, who should be blamed for this serial error?”

Another fan wrote, ”this is very awful for a team like Man United.”

Another fan added, “don’t tell me anything else, Erik ten Hag is responsible for this.”

Some fans argued Casemiro’s abscence has left a gap in the squad allowing opponents steal their way through in the wide area before cutting in for goals.

Others hailed Kobbie Mainoo, who is creativity and ability to track back quickly leaves no room for opponents to exploit.
