Sierra Leonean Fans Attack Mo Salah After Qualifiers Defeat! [VIDEO]

Liverpool star Mo Salah escaped a mob of Sierra Leonean fans towards the end of the World Cup Qualifiers match between Egypt and Sierra Leone, MySportDab reports.

Hordes of home fans could be seen in a viral clip speedily running into the pitch in their large numbers to target Salah after the match.

The incident unfolded unexpectedly taking the security officials unawares due to their large numbers.

However, Mo Salah was successfully cordoned to safety by the security operatives and teammates before the invaders were wrestled off the field.

It is still unclear whether the invaders targeted Salah for an assault or attack or were star-struck with the presence of the Liverpool star in the match but it was wasn’t looking good towards the end of the game for the Liverpool forward.

Mohamed Salah did have great game for Egypt against the home side as he provided one of the assists that resulted in the two goals by Trezequet to give Egypt the lead.

Trezequet, who is currently plying his trade with Turkish side Trabzonspor, bagged a brace to help Egypt maintain their perfect start to the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The win saw the African giants made it two wins in two games to top their World Cup Qualifiers group with maximum 6 points.

The Pharaohs were able to ease pass the Sierra Leonians playing with a two-man advantage as two Sierra Leonian players were sent off.

And it is believed the home fans were furious with the outcome of the game after playing with two-man disadvantage.

There were already pockets of simmering tensions in the game between the players with the rage finally spilling over to the stands resulting in the pitch invasion.

Salah looked calm throughout the incident and the security officials were prompt enough to arrest the problem.
