Pep Guardiola REACTS To Mauricio Pochettino Handshake Snub

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reacted to a brutal snub by Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino during City’s Premier League clash against Chelsea, MySportDab reports.

Pochettino grew furious at the blast of the final whistle and charged forward into the field to challenge the match referee Anthony Taylor for ending the game while Chelsea were on the attack.

Notably, Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle after the 10 minutes extra time added to the game was exhausted but Mauricio Pochettino felt he should allowed his team’s counter attack died down before the game was ended.

While blazing with fury, Pochettino forgot to give Pep Guardiola the regular post match handshake as he snubbed the Manchester City boss.

The gesture has been making the rounds with pundits taking a slightly opposing stand on Mauricio Pochettino as his reaction fell short of sportsmanship in sports.

However, Pep Guardiola appears to be sympathetic to the Argentine while reacting to the snub in his post-match press conference.

In his words, Mauricio Pochettino was overwhelmed with emotions hence his reaction. Guardiola added he has no qualms about Pochettino as everyone are liable for such reactions in a while.

“I really have no problem with Poch. He is a great coach. Everyone do have wild moments when ones emotions takes control. I understand with him,” he said.

Chelsea held Manchester City to a dramatic 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge thanks to a late goal via a spotkick by Cole Palmer.

The match was the first time Chelsea have salvaged a point against Manchester City after nine straight defeats in their last nine games.
