FT: Sheffield United 1-2 Manchester United, Diogo Dalot Score Thunderbolt! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Manchester United have defeated Sheffield United at Bramall Lane to continue their recovery from a dismal Premier League start, MySportDab reports.

Match Report

Manchester United went into the game on the back of a dramatic late win over Brentford at Old Trafford before international break.

Scott McTominay late brace completed a dramatic comeback for the Reds and averted what would have been their worst start to a Premier League campaign for the first time in decades.

Coming up against the newly promoted side, who are also struggling since the start of the season, United needed nothing less from a win to build on their recent gains.

It was a shaky start for the Red Devils in front of their travelling fans as Sheffield United held a commanding sway over proceedings for over 20 minutes after kickoff.

Manchester United made little attempt to break the shock dominance of the Heckingbottom-led team and were struggling to make a bold presence in the game.

However, against the run of play, they were able to take the lead with Scott McTominay scoring his third goal two successive Premier League games for the club in the 28th minutes.

Few minutes after the lead, McTominay slipped from a hero to a villain after he conceded a penalty handling the ball inside United box.

McBurnie stepped up and took the penalty kick, cracking it pass Andre Onana to level the scores for the home side.

Manchester United began to dominate proceedings going forward after the leveler by the home side but could not make anything as the first half ended with both sides settling for a 1-1 draw.

United put up a more clinical performance in the second half but could not take the lead again until the 77th when Diogo Dalot fired a thunderbolt from 25 yards out to make it 2-1.

After failing behind again, Sheffield United made late efforts to come back into the game but could upset United backline.

Manchester United held on to run out with a 2-1 after the final whistle.
