Argentina claimed an impressive 2-0 victory against Australia with Lionel Messi on target, MySportDab reports.
The game is the first after the side claimed the FIFA World Cup title in December 2022 which took place in Qatar.
First Half Report
The first half of the match was good for both teams who did so much but just one side could make the difference happen going forward.
Lionel Messi wasted no time in making the scoreline 1-0 for Argentina in the 2nd minutes of the game after a wonderful assist from Enzo Fernandez.
Australia were not bad themselves as they did so much going forward but couldn’t put any of their opportunities into good use which also came on many occasions.
The game pushed on with nothing else coming to play, but there were opportunities which could have resulted a goals being scored from both end which was either going off or being saved.
Argentina ended the first half with a 1-0 lead against Australia who did well enough but couldn’t get the needed goal to make a comeback.
Second Half Report
The second half was good once again from both teams but still it was the Argentines who made something happen going forward.
Australia were good enough with their defending which saw them having to deal with so many attempts from their opponent who want to score another goal.
Argentina continued dominating the match doing everything in their power to make sure they finish off their opponent before the one hour mark.
A 68th minutes goal from German Pezzella doubled the advantage to 2-0 after another beautiful teamwork effort helping the home side with a second.
The goal was the last action as Argentina claimed a clean 2-0 victory against Australia who stood no chance against them from kickoff to the end of the game.
