Liverpool have defeated Leicester City to close in on the Premier League top four race, MySportDab reports.

First Half

Leicester City had the better of Liverpool as the game started securing two free-kicks and one corner less than 6 minutes into the game.

It was a good display by the home side who fought hard to stay off the drop zone while Liverpool eyed a top four finish.

The game was barren up to the half hour before Liverpool began to make inroads into the game, winning duels and dominating proceedings.

In the 33rd minute, Curtis Jones’ latched on Mo Salah’s cross to tuck home Liverpool’s first goal, giving the away side the lead.

Three minutes after, Curtis Jones was again on the scoresheet as Liverpool doubled the lead with another assist from Mo Salah.

After conceding two quickfire goals from the visitors, Leicester City’s initial morale was drown.

They lost bearing in the game and were playing second fiddle to Liverpool despite conceding two quick goals.

Despite leading by two unreplied goals, Liverpool still dominate the game going forward.

Leicester City up their game but were unable to break the goal deadlock with Konate and Vigil van Dijk keeping the hosts’ attacking onslaughts under check.

In the 71st minute, Alexander-Arnold dealt a final blow to Leicester City comeback hopes, scoring Liverpool’s third goal to make it 3-0.

The match ended with Liverpool running away with a deserved 3-0 victory to consolidate their push for a top four finish.
