Paul Scholes, Man United Fans Tear Into De Gea After Third-goal Blunder Vs Sevilla! (Video)

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, including Manchester United fans have torn into Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea for his incredible blunder against Sevilla in the Europa League, MySportDab reports.

It was a nightmare encounter for Manchester United at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Spain as they lost woefully to a determined and spirited Sevilla side.

Just eight minutes into the clash Harry Maguire and David de Gea’s defensive blunder saw the Red Devils concede a cheap goal.

David de Gea threaded a pass to Harry Maguire but the England defender mistakenly pass the ball to En-Nesyri who then fired in the hosts’ first goal.

The second goal came from Loic Balde early in the second half when he headed home a corner kick to double the lead for Sevilla.

David de Gea was blamed in the first two goals for a cringe display.

De Gea’s poor pass to a less-confident Harry Maguire led to the first goal.

His poor positioning in the build-up during Sevilla cornerkick led to the second goal.

The third goal was the worst mistake by the Spaniard in the game.

He had raced out of his box to trapped down a long ball only to miss it mistakenly and put it in the way of En-Nesyri who slotted home a cool finish to make it 3-0.

Reacting to David de Gea’s horrendous blunders, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes questioned the quality and future of the Spaniard with his error-laddended display at such a crucial game.

“David de Gea’s performance was below par. His pass to Harry Maguire was poor leading to the first goal.

“He should buckle up because he seems not to fit Erik Ten Hag philosophy,” Paul Scholes said.

Manchester United fans equally blast David de Gea for such series of blunders that sent the Red Devils out of the competition.

A fan wrote, “it is high time we part ways with David de Gea.”

Another added, “good that his contract is yet to be renewed.”

Another fan said, “the proposed cut to his wage earnings at the club should be effected with immediate effect.”

Manchester United crashed out of the Europa League on a 5-2 aggregate after the defeat Spain.

The Red Devils still have another possible silverware up for grabs as they are in the FA Cup semifinals where they will face Brighton.
