Joao Cancelo Aims Dig On Pep Guardiola Ahead Of UCL Reunion! (Details)

Manchester City loanee to Bayern Munich Joao Cancelo has aimed a dig on his former boss Pep Guardiola ahead of Champions League reunion, MySportDab reports.

Joao Cancelo left Manchester City after a bust-up with his former boss and had complained of lack of game under the former Barcelona manager.

At the peak of his faceoff with Pep Guardiola, he was loaned to Bayern Munich, where he is gradually reasserting his relevance in the game.

Now, the Portugal winger returns to Etihad for the first time for a reunion with his old pals and manager at Etihad when Bayern Munich take on Manchester City today.

Speaking to Bayern Munich YouTube Channel ahead of the crunch tie, Joao Cancelo seemed to aim a dig on Pep Guardiola with his comments.

When asked about how he feels in his new club and new life at Allianz Arena, Joao Cancelo said;

“Bayern Munich is a top club that places emphasis on discipline and do follow up.

“They are very professional and I am happy to be a part of the disciplined squad.”

His comment seemed to reference his fallout with Pep Guardiola before he temporarily left the club for the loan spell at Allianz Arena.

Joao Cancelo added he is still on top of his game and will hope to defeat his parent club in the Champions League quarterfinal at Etihad this evening.

Bayern Munich will clash with Manchester City in what will be a big cracker to decide who play Chelsea or Real Madrid in the semifinals.

It is the first leg of the game and the second leg will come up in a week time.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager will make an heroic return to England after he was sacked at Chelsea while Pep Guardiola square up against his former club which he managed from 2013 to 2016.
