FT: West Ham 2-2 Arsenal, Saka Miss PENALTY! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Bukayo Saka miss a penalty as Arsenal drop points, settling for a 2-2 draw with West Ham in London Stadium, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was a another vintage display by the spirited Mikel Arteta side as the got the match underway with a fiery start.

Arsenal dominated proceedings as the match kicked off, making big steps forward in search of an early goal.

Few minutes into the game, Gabriel Jesus was on target for the Gunners.

Gabriel Martinelli warded off the challenge from Coufai on the left wing before crossing it to Jesus who tapped it in to give Arsenal the lead.

Just few minutes after Jesus’ opener, Martin Odeggard doubled the lead for the Gunners in the 10th minute after he was left unmarked in the box to volley home Arsenal’s second.

Arsenal continued to dominate proceeds despite the two goal lead but conceded a 32nd minute penalty after Gabriel Magalhaes brought down Antonio in the box.

Benrahma converted the spotkick sending Aaron Ramsdale to the wrong direction to bring back comeback hopes for West Ham.

 

The first half ended 2-1 with Arsenal going into the break with the lead.

Second Half Report

Arsenal dominated proceedings as the second half kicked off and were looking set to extend the lead.

West Ham could not wrestle with the Premier League title hopefuls for the ball but made efforts to stop their advances into the box.

The match continued with Arsenal unable to break the second half goal deadlock early but pressed on with a dominant display.

Bukayo Saka missed a penalty in the 51st minute that would have extended Arsenal’s lead.

The Gunners were dealt a big blow by West Ham four minutes after the missed penalty when Jarrod Bowen fired in the equaliser for West Ham.

Arsenal ramped up attempts to return to the lead but were held off by the resilient hosts who ran out with the 2-2 draw after the final whistle.
