FT: Chelsea 2-0 Dortmund, Blues Book UCL QUARTERFINALS! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Chelsea qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal after beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0, MySportDab reports.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz made sure the Blues made it though despite all the challenges of the game.

First Half Report 

The first half of the game was incredible coming from the Blues who didn’t start well but were able to pick up things at some point.

Borussia Dortmund started well seeing a lot of the ball which they dominated possession and almost came close to scoring from a freekick which was saved.

Chelsea thought they had taken the lead after a goal from Kai Havertz which was later called back for an offside against Raheem Sterling.

The goal finally came in the 43rd minutes which saw Raheem Sterling first missing the ball but was able to recover and smashed it beating the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

That goal was the last action as the first half of the match came to an end with Chelsea heading for the break with a 1-0 lead against Borussia Dortmund after 45 minutes.

Second Half Report 

The second half action was a lot coming from both teams as they had to put in more work in other to make sure they came out on top of the game.

Chelsea were more hot headed coming into the second half which saw them getting a penalty in the 50th minutes of the match.

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper was able to save the ball from going in but unfortunately Kai Havertz was given the opportunity to reply which he scored in the 53rd minutes to make it 2-0.

Conor Gallagher scored another goal in the match but unfortunately, it was called back by a narrow offside call which was from Raheem Sterling who made his run too quick.

The match carried on until it came to an end with Chelsea getting the job done 2-0 and 2-1 in aggregate against Borussia Dortmund who gave it all their best all through.
