Sir Alex Ferguson has now revealed that Marcus Rashford isn’t a striker and can’t start in that role everytime, MySportDab reports.

The former coach has told Manchester United to sign a new striker despite the form ofMarcus Rashford this season.

The all-time Premier League managerial legend was present at Wembley on Sunday as United won their first trophy in almost eight years.

Ferguson won 13 Premier League titles and other trophies during his tenure at the Red Devils and has given some advice.

He acknowledged Rashford’s form with 25 goals across all competitions this season.

However, he has warned that more players need to score.

‘No he’s not a striker. He operates on the left wing and has been great,’ Sir Alex told Sky Sports.

‘His finishing is great, his shots are always down and that is really important.

‘Unfortunately, he’s our main man for goals, we could use another goalscorer.’

Ferguson worked with many world class players during his 26 year spell tenure at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 81-year-old developed Cristiano Ronaldo into the world’s best player and helped Wayne Rooney become United’s all-time greatest goalscorer.

His advice comes after United’s struggles upfront that saw Ten Hag sign Wout Weghorst from Burnley on a loan deal.

Anthony Martial was meant to lead the attack this season but has struggled with multiple injuries over the past few months.

Rashford has frequently changed his position into the striker role in several matches and has scored more goals there.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains linked with a transfer to Manchester United and Kylian Mbappe is the dream signing for fans.
