FT: Tottenham 2-0 West Ham, Son Heung-min STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Tottenham have defeated London rivals 2-0 in the Premier League to keep top-four hopes alive, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both sides struggle to dominate proceedings as the game started.

Tottenham

Tottenham needed to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Leicester City to restore their top-four hopes.

Meanwhile, Newcastle had slipped, losing to Liverpool hence a win for Spurs would be a big boost to their top-four hopes.

Tottenham struggled in front of West Ham’s box, but were dominating proceedings and controlling the game.

Despite dominating proceedings, Spurs failed to find the back of the net and managed just one attempt on target throughout the first half.

They had 62% of the ball possession and had only five attempts while West Ham managed two attempts with none on target. The first half ended goalless.

Second Half Report

Tottenham kicked off the second half ramping up their attempt to find an early goal.

Maintaining their possession in the game, they mounted pressure on West Ham and were looking set to grab a win.

In the 56th minute, Emerson Royal put Tottenham in front with a great goal.

Son Heung-min doubled the lead in the 72nd minute to seal the win. Despite taking a two-goal lead Tottenham continued to dominate proceedings in the game.

They pushed for a third goal with West Ham sitting back to defend while waiting to pounce through counters.

The David Moyes-led team made no efforts at a comeback and finally settled for a defeat at the London Stadium to Spurs after the final whistle.
