Manchester City have stumbled in their bid to return to the top of the Premier League as they settled for a draw with Nottingham Forests at City Ground, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half began with Manchester City dominating proceedings.

Nottingham Forest stayed in their half to counter the efforts of City, who were making frantic attempts to get an opener.

It was a one-sided game throughout the first half with Nottingham Forest hoping to restrain the star-studded from finding the back of the net and heading into the break with a draw.

They struggled with possession and never get to hold the ball for a minute in the first half without being dispossessed.

City, on the other hand, struggled inside Nottingham Forest’s half as they could not create a clear chance to find an opener.

After intense pressure, the defending champions finally got one pass Forest.

Bernardo Silva delivered a masterclass strike from outside Forest box after receiving a pass from Jack Grealish.

The Portuguese fired a thunderbolt pass Navas from 20 yards to put Man City in the lead in the 41st minute before the first-half break.

Second Half Report

Manchester City still dominated proceedings despite taking the lead in the game.

Nottingham Forest sat back and depended on counterattacks to try and find an equalizer, but they were miles behind City.

Steve Copper made some changes that gave Nottingham Forest a slight attacking edge.

One of the substitutes Chris Woods scored late in the 84th minute to equalize for the home side.

Forest held off City’s late pressure to share spoils with the Premier League champions after the final whistle.
