Manchester United claimed an impressive 3-0 victory against Charlton Athletic to book EFL Cup semifinals, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report 

There was a lot witnessed in the first half of the encounter which had both teams chasing the game and looking to make something.

Charlton Athletic were the less better of both teams which showed a lot on the pitch as they had to deal with a lot of pressure coming from the home side.

Antony gave Manchester United the lead in the 21st minutes of the game after a wonderful finish from the Brazilian who was able to make the scoreline 1-0.

The game opened up more after the goal scored, but the away side were fully committed as they did everything in their power not to concede more.

Second Half Report 

The second half resumed with more action coming as the Old Trafford came in looking to secure the job of making it into the next round.

Manchester United were not too clinical in the second half of the encounter which was filled with wasted opportunities and bad display from the team.

It was looking more comfortable for Charlton Athletic who had their moment before a goal from the home side was called off for offside as the game carried on.

The scoreline remained the same in favor of the home team until Marcus Rashford scored in the 90th minutes of the game to make it 2-0.

The England International made it his brace in the 90th minutes plus added time which automatically increased the scoreline to 3-0.
