Arsenal have announced the signing of Leandro Trossard, MySportDab reports.

Arsenal quickly make the move to sign Trossard after they lost out on their attempt to sign Mykhailo Murdyk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Belgium international is joining the North London club from Brighton & Hove Albion on a long-term contract.

Leandro Trossard joined Belgium to the 2022 World Cup where they crashed out in the group stage. He has made 24 appearances for the national team.

The 28-year-old was groomed and raised in Belgium where he started his football career playing for Genk before transitioning to the first team.

At Genk, Leandro Trossard made a total of 120 appearances. He was also sent on loan spells to Lommel United, Westerlo, and OH Leuven as he moves through his football career.

Before making this switch to Arsenal, Leandro Trossard joined Brighton in 2021 and was instrumental to the team’s successes under former Brighton manager Graham Potter.

He made a total of 121 appearances for the Seagulls throughout his three years spell with the club

He has played 16 Premier League matches for Brighton this season and has scored 7 goals.

The 28-year-old scored a hat-trick against Liverpool in October, including a goal against Premier League defending champions Manchester City.

Following his announcement, there are projections he may likely make his Arsenal debut in the crunch tie against Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal confirmed that all documentation for the player has been submitted and they hope to have him in the lineup against Manchester United

It has been also confirmed he will wear jersey number 19 at the club and will be an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s Premier League campaign.
