Reports in Brazil said the 82-year-old, who was admitted into the hospital last week, ‘has been moved to palliative care’ in the Albeit Einstein hospital and is ‘no longer responding to chemotherapy’ in his fight against bowel cancer.

PSG and France international Kylian Mbappe and Pele’s former club Santos, including Brazilian ex-player Rivaldo had tweeted their good wishes to the football icon following the development.

Kylian Mbappe wrote on his twitter handle, “pray for the king.”
