FT: Real Madrid 5-1 Celtic, Los Blancos Finish TOP! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Real Madrid seals number one spot with a 5-0 win against Celtic in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the game wasn’t that bad for both teams who had their opportunities of making something good happen going forward.

Celtic poor defending saw them conceding an early penalty which saw Luka Modric stepping up to make it count 1-0 in the 6th minutes of the game.

Real Madrid controlled things after early goal which saw them pushing for more as they double their advantage in the 21st minutes from the penalty spot through Rodrygo to make it 2-0.

The game carried on with so much happening from both ends which also saw the away side awarded a penalty in the 35th minute but Josip Juranovic failed to make it count for his side.

The scoreline remained 2-0 as Real Madrid took all the advantage heading into the break against Celtic who couldn’t make good use of their opportunities when it mattered most.

Second Half Report

The second half started well with both teams coming in to make sure they complete what they started from the first half of the encounter.

Real Madrid continued with dominance as they looked in control of everything happening on the pitch with the lead giving them all the advantage they need to carry on.

Celtic went down further with a stunner from Marco Asensio in the 51st minutes which made the scoreline 3-0 for the home side.

Another one followed up from Vinicius Junior in the 61st minutes making the scoreline 4-0 as the home side continued scoring for fun.

Federico Valverde made it 5-0 in the 71st minutes of the game which was assistedd by Lucas Vazquez as the match carried on.

The away side pulled one goal back in the 84th minute of the game thanks to Jota who was able to make something happen as the game turned 5-1.

The match ended with Real Madrid completing the group stages as number one with a 5-1 victory against Celtic after 90 minutes of football between them.
