FT: Argentina 1-2 Saudi Arabia, Saudis Record Biggest Win In HISTORY! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Lionel Messi scored as Argentina suffer shock defeat to Saudi Arabia 1-2 in the opening game of the FIFA World Cup 2022, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half was expected to rain goals from the Argentines who started the game as the better of both national teams going forward.

It took Argentina 10 minutes to score the opening goal which came courtesy of a penalty that saw Lionel Messi hitting the back of the net to make the scoreline 1-0 as the game carried on.

Saudi Arabia were just hanging on and trying to make sure the scoreline does not increase immediately as they were so much coming from their opponent who press them so hard.

Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez hit the back of the net but unfortunately, his goal was called back and VAR ruled it out leaving the scoreline to remain 1-0 as it carried on forward in the 29th minute.

Nothing else was seen as the first half came to an end with Argentina taking a 1-0 advantage into the break against Saudi Arabia after 45 minutes of football which was played between them.

Second Half Report

The second half started well for the Saudis who were more good and clinical in the opening minutes which saw them also making a fightback along the way.

Saudi Arabia leveled things 1-1 in the 49th minute of the game in what was a shocking and beautiful moment which saw Saleh Al-Shehri finishing off to give his side a fighting chance.

Argentina were so bad in everything as they went down further with another goal which came from Salem Al Dawsari as the scoreline changed quickly to 1-2 in favor of the Saudis in the 53rd minute.

The game continued with the Argentines pushing all bodies forward looking to make a comeback which didn’t happen as the match ended with Saudi Arabia taking a 1-2 victory against Argentina which is the biggest in their history.
