Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane has been named the first winner of the Socrates award, MySportDab reports.
The Senegalese international claims the award as a sign of peace in football which he serves as a symbol.
Sadio Mane has also been one of the most respected player who have shown that off and on the pitch.
His time with Liverpool was good despite him being among one of the lowest paid players, he still didn’t make a big deal over it.
He has also shown so much character on the pitch and quick to calm things down when other teammates are going overboard.
