‘A Dream Come True’ Francis Uzoho REACTS After Man United Game (Details)

Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has revealed he was very happy to play at Old Trafford against Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

Uzoho is Omonia’s second-choice goalkeeper but was given the opportunity to play against the team he is a fan of since he was a child.

The 23-year-old made several impressive saves to deny the Red Devils almost throughout the game, but Scott McTominay scored in the 90th minute to make it 1-0.

Despite conceding, Uzoho was still happy in his post-match interview after playing at Old Trafford.

‘I’m not disappointed because we played well. It would have been great to at least take a point but I’m still happy, Uzoho told BT Sport.

‘It is not easy to play at this stadium with these big players but I’m happy.

‘It’s definitely a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to play here for years. When I saw the draw, I was very happy to visit Old Trafford and I thank God for the opportunity to play.’

Uzoho received praise from football pundits and fans after the game thanks to his incredible performance.

Speaking further, the Nigerian Goalkeeper admitted that he has probably never played better in his life.

When asked if this was the best performance of his football career, Uzoho said: ‘Arguably, I can agree with that.’

The Nigeria international also spoke about the confidence of his team-mates, as they defended well to almost earn a point for the Cypriot team.

Uzoho added: ‘I’m very proud of my teammates because it’s never a one-man job. We gave everything today as a team and I am happy.’

Uzoho could get called up by Nigeria for their upcoming international matches after such impressive performance.
