Antony Hits BACK At Critics Over Spin Skill Vs FC Sheriff (Details)

Manchester United winger Antony has now responded to criticism of his spin skill today, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian has said that he won’t stop showboating despite the backlash for performing his 720-degree spin during Man United’s Europa League match.

Former Red Devils player Paul Scholes described the Brazilian as a ‘clown’ after his skill move with the score at 0-0 during the match.

However, Manchester United still won the match 3-0 with goals from Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Friday, Antony finally responded with a clear message on his Instagram story.

He said that he ‘won’t stop’ doing what made Manchester United pay £85.5m for his signature.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘We are famous thanks to our art.

‘I won’t stop doing what got me here in the first place.’

Erik ten Hag took off Antony at half-time but did not reveal after the match if it was a direct result of his showboating.

Some fans believe that such criticism on the player won’t be given to an English player that did such.

Brazil are set to battle for the 2022 World Cup in November and would need every fit player available to help their challenge.

Antony is expected to start again for Manchester United in the Premier League match against West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
