FT: Real Madrid 2-0 RB Leipzig, Blancos Claims Late WINNER! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio scored late goals as Real Madrid beat RB Leipzig 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League match, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both teams had it good in the first half of the encounter in terms of defending well but nothing was about to happen in them scoring.

Real Madrid came into the match as the better of both teams creating so many opportunities on the pitch but their finishing wasn’t just good enough.

RB Leipzig were also commanding in their display which saw them making sure they didn’t concede easily against their opponent who had to many attacking option.

The game progressed further with nothing else happening except more wasted opportunities going forward with a lot of defending.

Nothing separated them as the first half came to an end with Real Madrid settling for a 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes of football played against RB Leipzig.

Second Half Report

The second half was much entertaining from both teams who did so much from their end to make sure they were able to get the much needed goal.

RB Leipzig maintained their good display as the second half continue with them equally into the game just like the home side who enjoyed more possession.

Real Madrid were not good themselves despite all their opportunities resulting to nothing tangible as to a goal coming with so much quality in their attacking position.

It was still looking poor in terms of goals as they approached the one-hour mark with the scoreline still goalless and nothing to separate them in the encounter.

Federico Valverde made it count in the 80th minute of the game, which saw Vinicius Junior making the assist as the game turned 1-0 in favor of the home side as it continued.

Marco Asensio scored in the 90th minute plus additional time to make sure the scoreline increased to 2-0 for the home side.

The match ended with two goals scored as Real Madrid claimed a good 2-0 victory against RB Leipzig after 90 minutes of football.
