FT: Canada 2-2 Nigeria, Super Falcons DRAW! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Nigeria Women’s team held to a 2-2 draw against Canada in a friendly match, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half was a good one coming from the Super Falcons who did well enough to make sure it was in their favor going forward.

Nigeria didn’t take long in scoring the opening goal which came in the 5th minute through an outstanding finish from US-based Ifeoma Onumonu who scored to make it 0-1.

The match carried on with Canada applying so much pressure after going down as they fought hard in making sure they score the equalizer which didn’t happen as it progressed.

Nothing could change the scoreline as the first half ended with Canada 2-2 Nigeria as they both went inside for the break with a draw scoreline after 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half started well between both of the clubs who did everything well going forward with something good to celebrate.

Christine Sinclair scored the leveler for Canada women in the 49th minute of the second half after a good teamwork effort saw her beat the Super Falcons goalkeeper to make it 1-1.

More opportunities continue to come through for both teams who did well enough going forward until Rasheedat Ajibade scored in the 53rd minute to restore the lead for Nigeria 1-2.

It was looking good for the Giant of Africa who continued holding on to their lead which saw them facing so much pressure but they managed to stay strong as they approached the 80th minute.

Shelina Zadorsky scored in the 88th minute of the game to ensure she pulled her country back in the encounter making the scoreline 2-2 from another stunning goal.

The match ended with Canada 2-2 Nigeria as they both gave a good account of themselves playing a draw scoreline after 90 minutes of football played between them.
