FT: Middlesbrough 0-2 Chelsea, Lukaku And Ziyech Score (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech both scored as Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 0-2 to book FA Cup semi-final, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Just two goals scored in the first half of the encounter which wasn’t good for the home side who were expected to make things difficult.

Chelsea scored the opening goal in the 15th minute of the encounter after a good counter football which started from the back until it ended up with Romelu Lukaku who made it count 0-1 with an easy finish.

Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea

Middlesbrough applied everything possible to make it count but they could get past the defensive wall put out by the Blues who were always at alert giving Edouard Mendy free chance.

Another goal in the 31st minutes from Hakim Ziyech ensured the scoreline turned 0-2 for the Blues who once again broke free before putting the ball inside the net for the second time in the match.

Romelu Lukaku almost made it three in the game after an incredible team work effort saw his goal bound strike cleared out before crossing the goal line as it carried on.

The first half of the encounter ended with Middlesbrough 0-2 Chelsea as they headed inside for the break with an advantage to the Premier League side after 45 minutes played.

Second Half Report

The second half started with the same pace it finished in the first 45 minutes which wasn’t seeing anything happen early.

Middlesbrough were more determined to make something happen despite knowing they were two goals down against their opponent who had things going well.

Chelsea held on firmly while creating opportunities for themselves going forward as things weren’t pushed on further in the match.

It was more opportunities as Timo Werner almost increased the lead but his strike was blocked by a defender after another fine teamwork.

The match ended with Middlesbrough 0-2 Chelsea as the Blues made it into the semifinals of the Emirates FA Cup once again.
