FT: Lille 1-2 Chelsea, Christian Pulisic STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Goals from Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta saw Chelsea make it to the quarter-final of UCL beating Lille 1-2 with 1-4 aggregate, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

A good first half coming from both teams who showed so much quality going forward and defending as they both scored one goal each.

Lille started as the better of both teams who did well enough to pressurize the Champions of the World who also didn’t fumble as they did a good job defending.

Chelsea carried on well until a handball from Jorginho saw a penalty being awarded to the home side which Burak stepped up and converted neatly to make it 1-0 in the 38th minute.

The Blues carried on pushing for a goal of their own which came late in the first half as Jorginho through pass located Christian Pulisic who made it 1-1 in the 45th minute plus added time of the game.

The first half came to an end with Lille 1-1 Chelsea as they both headed inside for the break with both teams settling for a draw scoreline after 45 minutes of football.

Second Half Report

The second half wasn’t that bad as it started with so much pace coming from both ends looking to make sure they score more goals as it carried on.

Lille continue to push forward making life difficult for the English Premier League side who did well enough to make sure they kept things going the way it was in the early minutes of the second half.

Chelsea carried on doing so much in defending as they could have conceded, but luckily the header hit the crossbar as the scoreline remained the same 1-1 as they hit the one-hour mark.

Cesar Azpilicueta scored a remarkable goal with his knee in the 71st minutes after a good delivery from Mason Mount saw the captain making it 1-2 for the Blues.

The match came to an end with Chelsea sealing a 4-1 aggregate into the quarter-final after they beat Lille 1-2 in the second leg of the Uefa Champions League game.
