Manchester United Bans Mason Greenwood (DETAILS)

Manchester United in a statement today have now banned Mason Greenwood from training or playing with the team until further notice.

This comes in the wake of Mason Greenwood’s arrest on allegations of sexual violence, rape and assault.

More devastating news for the player as just earlier today, top brands partnering with the club have stopped associating themselves with the player.

Brands like Nike, EASports and Cardbury have made public statements to discontinue their association with the player or use his name in marketing any of their merchandise.

Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault on Sunday afternoon and on Monday Greater Manchester Police confirmed they had been granted an extension to continue questioning him.

United have confirmed Greenwood won’t train or play for them until further notice and Nike have now confirmed their relationship with the player has been suspended.

“We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood. We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation,” the company said in a statement.

Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has also been removed from FIFA 22 by EA Sports.

Following the latest database update, which was released on all platforms including PlayStation, Xbox and PC on Tuesday, February 1, 2021, Greenwood no longer features on the popular football simulation gaming title in offline modes and has been removed from the United squad.

However, the forward’s FIFA 22 Ultimate Team item remains active, and can still be traded on the FUT 22 transfer market.

Following the striker’s suspension from FIFA 22 on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, EA Sports has now issued a statement confirming his suspension from the game, giving more details about which game modes he has been suspended from.

The player is still in custody as investigations are still ongoing.
