Manchester City Star Bernardo Silva Real Madrid Transfer Talks

Manchester City’s 27-year-old midfield dynamo Bernardo Silva has been one of the shining lights in Pep Guardiola’s team for multiple seasons now, and the cat is very much out of the bag.

La Liga giants Real Madrid are readying a summer move for the Portuguese ace, with reports suggesting that he “dreams” of donning the Real jersey.

Despite Silva’s importance to the City team, his future seemed uncertain last summer. Silva has struggled with life away from his family in the northwest of England.

He has been in Manchester since 2017 and five years and thousands of miles away from loved ones is long enough for any professional, despite the sums on offer.

Italian website CalcioMercato revealed that Silva is very keen on becoming a part of Los Blancos this summer, particularly with Barcelona nowhere near the dominant force that they used to be in La Liga.

The sticking point for Silva and Real is that his contract at Manchester City runs until 2025.

Manchester City could justifiably demand an eye-watering transfer fee that would soften the blow of losing their creator in chief.

Nevertheless, according to Real Madrid magazine MadridistaReal, Silva is one of the multiple midfield targets for Los Blancos this summer.

A trio of names was mentioned by reporter José Félix Díaz, the first of which being Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.

Recently dubbed the ‘new Kai Havertz,’ Wirtz scored seven goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances and three goals in five Europa League outings aged 18.

The other pair linked are Ajax Amsterdam’s Ryan Gravenberch and AS Monaco ace Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The latter has become a real powerhouse in the heart of the Monaco midfield, with Real likely to face stiff competition from all of Europe’s biggest clubs for his signature.

As for Gravenberch, the Dutch international has 18 months left on his contract and looks likely to depart this summer as Ajax seeks to make a big profit on his development.

Man City is still top the 2021/22 Premier League table and remains favorites for the title, but have some big games on the horizon, including a Manchester derby with United.

However, with Silva and co. in their ranks, they are priced as short as 30/100 chance of defeating the Red Devils.

Football fans can take advantage of enhanced prices despite these short odds by using the best match statistics options.
