Ralf Rangnick Set To Offload Manchester United Star Amid Barcelona’s Interest

Manchester United Interim Manager, Ralf Rangnick is reportedly considering offloading academy graduate and star player, Marcus Rashford in a shocking move amid Barcelona’s Interest.

Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho are both highly regarded by Rangnick. However, according to recent reports, the Germans’ desire to aid both youngsters development will come at a cost.

According to a recent El Nacional report, a surprise candidate to be offloaded by the German tactician is wide-attacker and fan-favorite Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, 24, who has spent his entire career with the Red Devils since joining the youth academy in 2005 broke into the scene has a teenager but his career now appears to have been stalled for a few seasons now.

A series of injuries, as well as an abysmal European Championships campaign earlier this summer haven’t helped the 24-year-recent old’s struggles and on the other hand, is thought to be a target for Joan Laporta’s Barcelona, who have a long-standing interest in him.

The attacker is expected to cost around £60 million (€70 million), but with Cristiano Ronaldo described as ‘untouchable’ and Rangnick reportedly preferring both Greenwood and Sancho, Rashford’s time at Old Trafford may be coming to an end.

Although Rangnick is expected to have a lot of say in the club’s transfer policy, given that Anthony Martial is also out of sorts and has recently been linked with a January move away, it may be prudent for the German to stick with Rashford for a little longer.

The Frenchman has made just two Premier League starts this season is reportedly unhappy with the amount of playing time he has received this season while considering an alternative club ahead of the January transfer window.
