FT: Newcastle 1-1 Man United, Edinson Cavani STRIKES! | HIGHLIGHTS

Edinson Cavani second half goal helped Man United savage one point after being held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle at Saint James Park, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

A poor first half encounter from Manchester United who was unable to make anything happen despite all their dominance going forward in attacking.

It was Newcastle United who drew first blood as Allan Saint-Maximin scored a screamer in the 7th minutes of the encounter to give his side a 1-0 lead going forward.

Man United had nothing much to do despite being boosted by the return of Raphael Varane who was rushed into the encounter after just returning from a long term injury which have kept him out of games.

The match continued to be in control by the Old Trafford club but they couldn’t make anything count from all their efforts going forward which saw them creating more of the opportunities but unable to benefit from them.

The first half came to an end with Newcastle United 1-1 Man United as they both headed inside for the break after 45 minutes of football played between both teams.

Second Half Report

The second half was more of the same like the first 45 minutes of the encounter which only saw one goal being scored despite all the opportunities created by them.

Man United continue to search for the equalizer which wasn’t happening as they push on hoping to land a miracle which would see them coming into the game and fight for the win.

Newcastle United held things down hoping to secure their lead as the game progressed with them having to deal with so much pressure which was a constant thing all through.

Edinson Cavani scored in the 71st minutes to level things 1-1 for Manchester United who were looking already lost with the manager making some few changes which paid off with the equalizer.

That goal was the only thing as the match ended with Newcastle 1-1 Man United which saw both teams sharing the points each after a hard fought 90 minutes of football at the Saint James Park.
