FT: Arsenal 3-0 Southampton, Lacazette STRIKES! | HIGHLIGHTS

Goals from Alexander Lacazette alongside one each from Oedegaard and Gabriel ensured Arsenal beat Southampton 3-0, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the match saw the Gunners making sure everything worked out as planned by their manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal and Southampton held each other in the first 20 minutes of the first half which saw no goal being scored from both ends as it progressed.

Alexander Lacazette scored the opening goal in the 21st minutes after an amazing buildup saw Bukayo Saka providing the assist to make the scoreline 1-0.

Martin Oedegaard made it 2-0 in the 27th minute of the encounter which saw the Norwegian scoring with assist from Kieran Tierney which saw things increased.

More coming from both teams as they approached the final few minutes left to be played in the first half of the encounter going forward.

The first half came to an end with Arsenal taking a 2-0 lead against Southampton into the break after 45 minutes of football played.

Second Half Report

The second half was another solid 45 minutes coming from the Gunners who were unstoppable as they move forward with more opportunities.

Southampton had some good opportunities of their own to make it count but the Gunners were too much for them to get past as they carried on.

Gabriel increased the lead for Arsenal in the 62nd minute of the second half which saw the scoreline turning 3-0 after another amazing finish with assist from Martinelli.

It was already done and dusted before the Saints could do anything about it as the match progressed into the final few minutes of the second half with scoreline still in favor of the home side.

Nothing else as the match ended with Arsenal 3-0 Southampton which gave the home side all the three points they needed after 90 minutes of football.
