Real Madrid Confident Of Signing Antonio Rudiger (Full Details)

Chelsea might be facing the sad reality of losing Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid as they are yet to extend his stay, MySportDab reports.

An extension at Stamford Bridge has been mooted with Real Madrid circling round the German defender who they could reach an agreement to sign in January.

Antonio Rudiger future with Chelsea keeps hitting road blocks as no agreement has been reached yet with them and the defender over a new deal.

Antonio Rudiger

The Germany defender is not interested in extending his stay at the Premier League side and is wanted by several top European clubs according to Goal.

Real Madrid are optimistic about their chances of signing Antonio Rudiger and are prioritising a move for the Chelsea defender who will add more quality to their defense.

The 28-year-old centre-back’s contract at Stamford Bridge will come to an end in the summer of 2022 and he has no intention of renewing his deal beyond the season.

Chelsea have long prioritised extending Rudiger’s contract, even above trying to sign Raphael Varane who later joined Manchester United for €50 million.

Last offer the Blues made was around €8 million (£7m/$9m) net per year, but Antonio Rudiger is aware that he would still be paid less than most of his teammates.

The defender wants to earn more in his new contract which could end up being the last chance of getting a good value before nearing the last few years of his career.

Thomas Tuchel has been doing everything possible to make sure Antonio Rudiger remains with the club beyond the season which is looking impossible.

The only way things can work out is by Chelsea meeting his demands which will then see him extend his contract before Real Madrid are able to sign him.

Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich are also another teams looking to sign the German and he could be offered a better deal if things work out with talks.
