Eric Bailly is likely to start in the defence alongside Victor Lindelof.

Caretaker manager Michael Carrick has some tough decisions to make about his midfield, after Fred twisted his ankle against Villarreal.

Luke Shaw, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani all missed the Villarreal match so they are all doubtful for the Chelsea game.

Some other players were not spotted as they arrived in London.

Only, 14 members of the squad were spotted and confirmed at this stage, with 19 or 20 likely to travel in total.

Five of United’s last seven Premier League matches have ended in defeat, a run that lead to the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskajer.

United face rampant Chelsea team in good form following their 4-0 Champions League thrashing of Juventus at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s men will remain top of the league even if they lose to Manchester United.
