Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Premier League September Player Of The Month Award (Details)

Cristiano Ronaldo has now won the English Premier League Player of the Month Award for September, MySportDab reports.

Ronaldo won the award after some impressive performances for Manchester United.

However, Some pundits and fans believe that Liverpool Star Mohamed Salah should have the award instead of the 36-year-old.

Salah was the other only top contender for the September award.

Gary Lineker said: ‘He’s been fantastic, but Mo Salah should have won the award.’

Salah scored in Liverpool’s three Premier League matches in September and equalled Ronaldo’s goals of three.

One Liverpool fan wrote: ‘That’s unfair, Ronaldo barely contributed in most matches he played but scored some tap ins, Salah was far better than him.’

Ronaldo made his first start of the season against Newcastle after returning to the club and scored twice.

Ronaldo levelled up for United in the match against West Ham, and that helped to bring the momentum of the game back.

However, He could not stop United from a 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa at the end of September.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Player of the Month Award four times during his first time with United before joining Real Madrid.

The three other players nominated for the award are Antonio Rudiger, Mohamed Salah, Joao Cancelo, Allan Saint-Maximin and Ismaila Sarr.
