OFFICIAL: PSG Sign Lionel Messi On A Free Transfer, CONFIRMED (Photos, Video)

Paris Saint-Germain have now announced the signing of Lionel Messi on a free transfer after his Barcelona contract expired, MySportDab reports.

Messi has signed a two-year contract with PSG worth £35m per season.

The 34-year-old arrived in Paris at on Tuesday and was welcomed by thousands of PSG fans.

Messi waved to the fans at the airport just two days after his goodbye Barcelona press conference.

The signing of Messi completes a shocking summer transfer window for PSG as they signed both the captains of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

PSG now have one of the most attack ever in football, with Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi upfront.

Kylian Mbappe makes up the PSG’s all-star front three, although he has not yet signed a new contract at the club.

Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid this summer or next summer and won’t sign a new contract.

Speaking for the first time after PSG confirmed his signing, Messi said: ‘I am delighted to start a new journey at Paris Saint-Germain.

“Everything here matches my football ambitions. I want to help build something special for the club and the fans.’

Messi signing has already sent PSG fans wild, and the club have sold out over 850,000 copies of his new Jersey.

It is unknown if Messi’s arrival would make Kylian Mbappe stay at PSG and how does it affect UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

Messi has not trained since he won the Copa America with Argentina.

The Argentine is only likely to make his debut for PSG in the French Ligue 1 match against Reims on August 29th.

Messi will wear the No 30 shirt at PSG.
