FT: Man City 5-0 Arsenal, Arteta SACK Awaits! (Match Report And Highlight)

Mikel Arteta might be facing sack anytime soon as Arsenal woes continue after losing 5-0 to Man City at the Etihad with Xhaka sent off, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The Rivalry between the two side kicked off with the Citizens making sure the first half was all about them in terms of goals scored and chances created.

It took Man City 7 minutes to break down their opponent as Ilkay Gundogan scored the opener after teaming up with Gabriel Jesus that made the scoreline 1-0 for the Etihad side.

Things got worse for Mikel Arteta’s side as Xhaka was shown a red card in the 35th minute of the encounter after a foul which saw them reduced to 10.

The game continued with the Gunners doing more but failing to make it count as the Citizens extended their lead to 3-0 43rd minutes which was scored by Gabriel Jesus as the match carried on.

The first half ended with Man City 3-0 Arsenal as they both headed for the break with an advantage going the way of the Premier League Champions.

Second Half Report

The earlier minutes of the second half were evenly balanced despite the visitors having one man down for them to double everything they had to do on the pitch of play.

It was looking all easy for the home side as Arsenal still looked not so good with Rodri scoring in the 53rd minute with the assistance coming from Ferran Torres which made it 4-0.

Man City wasn’t done as they continued to press very hard against the Gunners that looked weak and fighting to ensure the scoreline doesn’t increase more as they entered 60 minutes.

Ferran Torres scored made it his brace in the 85th minute as Riyad Mahrez provided the assist which made the scoreline turned 5-0 against the Gunners.

Everything looking done already for the Blues who had to just toss the ball around to kill off time with four goals scored already and nothing they could do to further the embarrassment.

The match ended with Man City 5-0 Arsenal as Pep Guardiola’s dismantle the Gunners who now seat comfortably in the 19th position after losing three games this season.
