FT: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea, 10-Man Blues Hold Reds To DRAW! (Match Report And Highlight)

Liverpool failed to beat 10 man Chelsea who held them to a 1-1 draw after Reece James red card in the first half of the encounter, MySportDab reports.

The first half between the two rivals which saw two goals scored coupled with some late drama in the 45th minute that saw a sending off.

Liverpool dominating the half as it kicked off with them pressing so much that the Blues were barely able to clear their defense which was very solid despite all the pressure coming against them.

Chelsea scored the first goal in the 22nd minute as Kai Havertz finished of with an outstanding header which went in the far corner of the post to give his side 0-1 with Reece James providing the assist.

The encounter progressed with both sides fighting very hard against each other which later resulted to Reece James blocked the ball from going inside the net.

Mohamed Salah stepped up and converted perfectly to give his side the leveler which saw the scoreline turned 1-1 Rudiger and Edouard Mendy were both shown yellow cards.

The first half ended with Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea as they both headed for the break with a draw scoreline after an entertaining 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half started up with the visitors forced to defending as all the pressure which their opponent was too much for them to try and make a move forward.

Liverpool was all about the pressing which saw them trying to do everything possible in making sure they grab the lead as the match progressed.

More defending work for Chelsea who had already made two changes in the encounter which saw Mateo Kovacic and Thiago Silva coming into the match as tactical replacements.

The match carried on with more of the Reds players getting more frustrated with the defending of their opponent which didn’t allow anything get past them.

The encounter ended with Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea as both teams shared one points each to maintain their unbeaten run for the new season.
